500 Startups LatAm has announced its 10th batch of startups, having received 1420 applications for the selective program.
The accelerator will be investing $60,000 USD in 11 companies. The startups selected for this batch come from Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia.
Said René Lomelí, Director of the Accelerator Fund, “Latin American entrepreneurs continually show us how vibrant our region is in terms of generating business and opportunities.”
“As a fund we have the great fortune to evaluate thousands of companies and to work hand in hand with highly talented entrepreneurs who have the capacity to generate a positive impact on economic development,” added Mr. Lomelí.
In addition to the investment, the entrepreneurs selected will receive a 16-week acceleration program at the 500 Startups LatAM office in Mexico City.
Said Didier Quiroz, Venture Partner at 500 Startups, “We believe our program will have a great impact in areas such as marketing, operations and finance, preparing our entrepreneurs to raise subsequent rounds of capital, and above all in helping to create businesses with sustained growth that have the potential to be industry leaders.”
